Diagnosis

If this test shows that you may be able to be diagnosed with depression show the results to your doctor and if they diagnose you they will suggest one of these treatment options.


1. Medication. People with clinical depression are usually put on anti depressant medication. anti depressants work by balancing chemicals in your brain that affect mood and emotions

2. Talk Therapy. Very effective undertaken with a councelor, psychologist or psychiatrist.

a. CBT Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. A form of psychotherapy to encourage self help strategies to change negative thinking and behaviours.

b. ACT Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Based on mindfulness techniques.

3. Inpatient treatment. When people are severely depressed they often have to go into hospital especially if they are likely to self inflict harm.
